The IT industry is set to shine with its upgrading and robust technology -the cloud technology. Results of elections can give power to one party or the alliance, however, this latest technology enables all to be a leader. It provides the means through which computing power, computing infrastructure, and applications can be delivered to the user whenever and wherever required. This breakthrough computing technology is segregated into different forms depending on the abstraction level of the capability, namely:

-Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

-Platform as a Service (PaaS)

-Software as a Service (SaaS)

Now take a closer look to each of the Cloud computing forms:

Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): This is one of the fundamental cloud service models, where compute resources, including servers, networking capabilities, data center space are delivered as a service. Owned and hosted by a service provider, this computing model enables customer to self-provision the required resources using web based graphical user interface as per their demand. Besides, it also facilitates delivery of virtualization technology and operating systems to manage the resources. The computing resources can be provisioned with ease and are billed as per the usage, also denoted as pay-as-you go model. Based on dynamic scaling, it allows user to scale up or down the resources, based on the requirements.

Platform as a Service (PaaS): This cloud service model delivers an integrated set of software applications that helps a developer to build an application. PaaS can be considered as an evolution of web hosting, wherein the hosting companies provide complete software stack to the developers. It provides the ease of managing complete lifecycle of the software development, like planning, designing, building, deployment, testing and maintenance.

Software as a Service (SaaS): This was one of the foremost implementations of cloud services where business applications are hosted by the service provider and are delivered as a service to the users. CRM is one of the known categories of Software as a Service. The price of the software is charged on a per-use basis and does not involve upfront costs.

Businesses are leveraging benefits from all these three cloud-based services to a greater extent. The future of cloud computing seems to be brighter and enduring as never before for any existing technology.
